Our client is seeking Teachers SY 25-26 in the Washington, DC area. The teacher will provide support to children in various settings including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools
CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS
* Flexible schedule available*
* Immediate Start for the School year 2025-2026*
* Compensation rate of $30.00*
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide effective management skills and techniques for an Early Childhood age level population
* Planning Lessons: Designing and preparing lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives.
*Delivering Instruction: Teaching students using a variety of instructional strategies, adapting to different learning styles and abilities.
* Assessment and Evaluation: Creating and administering tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
* Classroom Management: Establishing and maintaining a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Student Engagement: Encouraging active participation and interaction among students, fostering their curiosity and critical thinking skills.
* Communication: Regularly communicating with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, behavior, and other relevant issues.
* Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and subject area knowledge.
* Collaboration: Working with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to support student learning and school-wide initiatives.
* Advising and Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to students on academic and personal matters, serving as a mentor when needed.
* Classroom Resources: Utilizing educational technology, textbooks, and other instructional materials effectively to enhance learning experiences.
* Curriculum Development: Contributing to the development and revision of curriculum materials, including textbooks, lesson plans, and educational programs.
* Committee Participation: Serving on committees or task forces related to school policies, curriculum planning, or extracurricular activities.
* Overall, the role of a teacher is multifaceted, requiring a blend of instructional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to facilitate student learning and development effectively.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Must have at least 1 yr of experience in a school setting or professional facility.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member;
* Experience in writing and monitoring IEPs and communicating with families and service providers to support students; ability to work with diverse populations; excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process
* Bachelor's degree in teaching required
* In-depth knowledge of effective teaching practices that ensure learning
